Shriya is doing two English movies The Other End of the Line with Jesse Metcalfe and What's Cooking directed by Deepa Mehta. She says it was a fantastic experience working in English films. The buzz is that she may be chosen by Kamal Haasan as his heroine for his next film Marmayogi. About having a right mix of movies in Bollywood and south, Shriya is quick to reply, “Language changes the flavour of people and honestly, I think it's unfair to differentiate cinema with language. I think we have to bring cinema under one umbrella and call it Indian cinema.”
Ask her about competition and Shriya is all smiles, “There is enough work for all of us. I share a great rapport with Trisha and Reema; we hang around when we get time. The best part of our friendship is that we don't discuss work and we respect each other.” Shriya signs off saying, “Kollywood has been extremely nice to me. I have been lucky to have met nice people and trust me, I’m still waiting for the dream script.”
