It seems the heroines are following the rule ‘Make hay while the Sun shines‘. As they could not get many opportunities in films, with the directors and producers looking for new talent and glamour for most of the films, some of the established heroines were concentrating on events like inauguration of shops and other such events. They were demanding payment on the lines of a film for the inauguration of showrooms. As per sources, Trisha demanded Rs 10 lakhs for the inauguration of a cloth shop. The businessmen, who were of the opinion that inauguration by a glamour heroine would fetch them a good business, are worried at the heavy remuneration demanded by these artistes. Let us take a glance at the remuneration being demanded by other stars. Mamata Mohandas demanded Rs 3 lakhs, when she recently inaugurated a saree shop and an electronic showroom. Priyamani, Parvati Melton, Kamna Jethmalani and Kajal were giving their nod for Rs 1 to 2 lakh, while Archana and Madhushalini were saying okay for Rs 50,000. Who will leave the chance to collect such a huge sum, for a few hours of visit to a showroom for its inauguration and a photo session inside the shop, and it has become more profitable for these glam dolls.
