Sarkar Raj Of Ram Gopal Varma

The year 2007 was very bad for maverick director Ram Gopal Varma. For a man who could do no wrong, the year 2007 proved that even the best of the lot can go wrong, very, very wrong at times. The much touted remake of Sholay, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag was the biggest flop of not just the year or the decade but also the biggest flop of the century. Even Sarkar did not do well as expected. RGV is now coming up with a sequel to Sarkar titled Sarkar Raj. The film is hitting the screens today. Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are among the lead star cast. RGV has pinned a lot of hopes on this film to revive his image and give a boost to his ego. Will the film manage to give him that? We have to wait and see. The other two Telugu films releasing today are Jonnaviththula's 'Somberi' starring Ali and Marudhuri Raja's 'Adhyaksha'. But majority of Telugu audiences have pinned their interest on the result of Varma's 'Sarkar Raj'.
