For Sonam, all the way from Paris

Sonam Kapoor must not have got any prize at the recently held Filmfare Awards.

But she got a rare honour that gets its importance due to the high level of fashion consciousness in Bollywod and the craze for top brands.

The world famous apparel design house “Chanel” based in Paris sent Sonam a specially designed gown as a present.

And she appeared wrapped up in this very same off-shoulder gown during the Filmfare award night.

This is for the first time that an Indian actress is being presented with a gown by “Chanel” from its special-celebrity collection.

It is said that Sonam’s incredible photos that appeared in magazines like Elle and Verve led the designer house to think of the actress as the perfect one to be presented with one of their exquisite designs.

Speaking to the media, an exited Sonam said “They just flew over three gowns for me to choose from. I liked the white one. I prefer light shades and I avoid accessories. What Chanel sent me for the Filmfare Awards certainly needed no enhancement. It was divine per se. I just kept staring at the beautiful basic but simple white gown. Never before have I been so excited about dressing up for an event”
