Colours Swathi In Ananthapuram 1980

Last year's super hit Tamil film Subramaniapuram has now been dubbed into Telugu and it would hit the screens soon with the name Ananathapuram 1980. The film is a nostalgic revenge drama which has a riveting performance from Swathi.

The popularity of the Tamil version of the film hit such heights that even ace director Mani Rathnam was compelled to see it; he was very impressed with Swathi’s performance then.

The film was initially planned to be remade into Telugu but the complex handling of the subject has forced the film makers to dub it. One hopes the film in Telugu would do as well as the Tamil version.
