Some of the graduates in different disciplines of film making from the prestigious Film & Television Institute of India, Pune, have been roped in by producers Yakkili Ravindra Babu and
Kishori Basireddy to make the film titled Sontha Ooru under the banner of Sravya Films, which is directed by P Sunil Kumar Reddy.
Theertha, a gold medalist in acting, is the heroine. Along with her, cinematographer Sabu James,
editor Sriguha and sound designer Hari, are all from FTII.As the title suggests, the film is about one’s native place and one’s attachment to it through childhood memories as well as responsibility towards it.
Raja plays the male lead. LB Sriram, who penned the dialogues, plays a special role as Rudra
Swami. Saketh Sairam scored the music.The star cast includes Tanikella Bharani, Jeeva, Jayaprakash Reddy, Rallapalli, Vijayachander, Swathi and others.Sontha Ooru is slated to hit the screens on March 21.
