Sri Kalasudha Telugu Association from Chennai has been presenting the Ugadi Puraskaralu, for the past ten years. This year (2009) the presentation function will be held at Music Academy Hall, in Chennai. This was announced by the association members at a recent press meet.
Enumerating on the list of recipients head of the organization Srinivas said “the awards will be presented by renowned director K.Viswanath. This year we are presenting 12 Puraskars in various categories of film field and 4 Puraskars in social service field, as follows.”

Best Director: Jagarlamudi Radhakrishna (Krish)
Best Screenplay: Neelakanta
Best Dialogue Writer: Indraganti Mohanakrishna
Best Music Director: Vandematharam Srinivas
Best Actor: Tarun
Best Actress: Bhumika
Special Jury Award: ‘Allari’ Naresh
Special Jury Award: Swathi
Best Playback Singer: Sunita
Best Cinematographer: S.Gopal Reddy
Producer C.Kalyan, RP Patnaik, VN Aditya, and members of the association were present at the meet.
