Aamir Khan to play Guru Dutt in biopic

Two directors are independently planning a biopic on the life and times of the legendary film maker Guru Dutt and both the helmers want Aamir Khan to play the lead role.
Director Rakeysh Mehra wants Aamir as the main protagonist in his film based on the life of legendary actor Guru Dutt. The film will be made according to Nasreen Munni Kabeer’s biography of Guru.

Meanwhile, another director Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, will also be making a film on the legendary actor and he too has plans to have Aamir as the leading man in the film. Arun Dutt, the son of the legendary actor director, will produce the biopic and Anurag Kashyap has written the script.

Aamir is very fond of Guru Dutt’s sister Lalita Lajmi, who is the mother of filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi. Lalita had even made an appearance in Aamir’s Taare Zameen Par.
