Shriya in Deepa Mehta’s film

Shriya Saran is going places. After her debut in Tollywood, she acted in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. She then accepted international assignments and acted in The Other End of the Line and shooting for What’s Cooking, Stella?

The news now is that Shriya has been signed up by Deepa Mehta for her forthcoming film Komagata Maru. Akshay Kumar plays the male lead.

Komagata Maru is the name of a Japanese ship. The story deals with a Punjabi family in the pre-independence days.
