Priyamani hits the jackpot

Priyamani is on a roll with hits like Yamadonga and Hare Ram in Tollywood. And now, she adds another feather in her cap by signing a film with ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam. “I am pretty excited about it,” reveals the actress, who is on cloud nine after bagging the much-touted multilingual film Ravana. The multi-starrer Ravana is being made in Hindi and Tamil. While the Hindi version features Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Vikram, in Tamil, Prithviraj is being roped in. After initial hiccups, the shooting for the movie is going smooth now. The top-of-the-line director, who got lively performances out of actresses like Revathy, Amala and Simran, could only be offering a demanding role to this nationa l - award - winning actress. “I am looking forward to the challenge of working with Mani sir,” she says. Or has she overlooked the significance of her role, just to work with a renowned maker? Let’s wait and watch.
