Spotlight: The Copy 'Kats' of Ash

Prelude: All those who enter the entertainment and glamour industry have a role model in their mind whom they want to imitate or look up to for inspiration. And there are a few who get the extra confidence after sometime and want to get into the shoes of their idols themselves. It now appears that the angel of beauty Katrina Kaif is on her way to fulfill her long standing desire to become the next Aishwarya Rai. History repeats In this process, it is looking very evident that past is repeating itself as it is an open secret that Katrina is dating Salman but then she would never accept or admit it. This is exactly what Ash used to do during her romance with Sallu Bhai. Also, Ash was working with big banners and names like Yash Raj and Raj Kumar Santoshi to consolidate her position and Katrina is repeating the same act today.Later it was the time for endorsements and Kats is taking the same approach that Ash took. Replacing Ash It appears that Katrina would not stop at anything to take the golden throne of queendom which was once the nest for Aishwarya Rai but now that she has gone more the family way the chances have become brighter for Kats. A classic example for this is the recent endorsement deal of the Nakshatra diamond jewellery ad. Reports say that the original choice for this was Deepika Padukone but then she refused to take it up since the remuneration aspect was not working out for her bracket and also there are a few other aspects her PR agency looks into before going for the signature. This came as a blessing in disguise who grabbed the offer at the first instant without hesitation. To make things more interesting, when Katrina appeared for the first time as the new face for Nakshatra, she was draped in a sari and one look at her and folks could not help going back to history about two years ago when Ash was standing at the same place in almost the same fashion with a sari on. Flip side: First it was Salman, then it was the banners and now it is the endorsements so while things look very clear for Katrina to take over the magic baton from Aishwarya, she is also experiencing the same bumpy ride with Salman just like Ash did during her times. It is heard that Sallu bhai gets quite violent and brash when his mood conks and scares the bulbs out of Kats, isn't that what Aishwarya experienced while she was dating the hunk? Conclusion With so much happening and that too in such a similar fashion one cannot help but say that comparison is inevitable between Katrina and Aishwarya. However, with an intentional approach to imitate the same path could be considered a bit trivial since Katrina has her own air and glow and agreed that she adores Aishwarya and her position but then not everyone can be Aishwarya and not everyone can be Kats too…
