Chittoor girl bags the role

In an industry that’s dominated by damsels from other states, a Telugu-speaking girl Bindu Madhavi, finally manages to make her debut in Tollywood with Aavakai Biryani.

A Sekhar Kammula find, the debutant hopes that the love story she has acted in will provide an ideal break for her. "It was just great working with an energetic team and it was a fabulous experience," reveals the girl hailing from Chittoor, who made her mark in Chennai modelling circles with 20-odd commercials, before catching Sekhar’s eye.

A self-confessed gadget freak, she says, "I am fascinated with my new phone and am still figuring out its features!"

Talking of her debut role she says, "I am a hyperactive girl so it wasn’t easy for me to relate to the subtle and calm village girl I play in the film. But that’s what acting is all about!"

While the audience look forward to Bindu’s performance, we hope the new babe on the block is capable of holding her own in Tollywood which is full of heroines from Bollywood and north India. - (TNN)
