Rajinikanth prefers Yantram to politics

Rajinikanth made it clear that no one could force him into politics. At the same time, no one could prevent him from entering politics if he decided to do it, he said in a statement to the media, weeks after wall posters first appeared in Coimbatore requesting him to take the plunge, leading to a series of incidents that even saw some of his fans giving a name to his party and also unveiling a flag for it.
Telling his fans to support whatever party they liked, Rajinikanth said he was fully engrossed in the making of Yanthram, his next film.He said that he understood the aspirations of his fans pretty well, particularly in the context of many film actors in Tamil Nadu and the neighbouring states launching their own political parties. But the actor talked tough with those who announced a party in his name, introduced a flag for it and also used his photograph in it.
“I can never allow those things to happen,” Rajinikanth said, ordering the district leaders of his fan clubs to inform the fan club’s headquarters about such members, who would be removed from the club’s rolls. If anyone, after losing the club membership, indulged in such action, he would proceed against them legally, Rajinikanth warned.
