Hansika lives in nature's lap

Hansika Motwani home in Juhu, Mumbai welcomes you into nature's paradise with greenery all around the entrance. "I love greenery and am a true nature lover at heart. I like the sight of greenery and as far as possible, I try to add a touch of green everywhere and so there are loads of plants in the home," she says. The home opens into a living area with subtle colours giving a warm effect to the rooms. "I am fond of mild colours and always wanted warm colours in the home so we opted for pure white. As the walls are plain white, we thought of playing with red and so have red sofas in the living room.
The home overflows with artifacts and she boasts of a good collection. "My mother is fond of artifacts and wherever we travel abroad or go on holidays, she never fails to collect them from everywhere." It can be easily understood that Hansika has a firm belief in Divine power. She says, "Throughout the house Ganesh idols can be found because I have immense faith in him. Right from the living room to all the rooms in the home, we have placed Lord Ganesha idols and I believe my home would be incomplete without these".
The bungalow in Juhu is a ground plus first floor and marble stairs lead to the upper floor. Just next to the stairs on the ground floor, there is a corner dedicated to the trophies and awards won by her. Hansika's bedroom is on the first floor of the bungalow. She is fond of star shaped objects and says, "I am fond of stars so there are many star shaped things, both outside and inside my bedroom. Be it the cushions or the shape of the lamps, star shapes can be found throughout".
Right at the entrance of her room, the words - 'Hansika, the star room' welcomes the visitor. Hansika's room has a typical girlie theme with bed covers and cushions in pink; the other colour used variably is light green. The entrance wall of the room can be called a memory wall as there are pictures showcasing her growing phase portrayed here. Next to Hansika's room is the master bedroom where everything is either white or woody in nature. Hansika is fond of reading and often spends time reading from her favourite collection. "I have stayed in this home for more than a decade now and have developed an emotional attachment to this place. Even if I shift in future, I would always have a special attachment to this home,” says Hansik
