Genelia started her Bollywood career with Tujhe Meri Kasam, remake of Telugu super hit Nuvve Kaavali starring Ritesh Deshmukh and the lead pair have been romantically linked ever since. Neither acknowledges that there is anything more than just friendship between them. When asked about Ritesh, she sternly said, “I am not dating him. There is nothing between us.” Genelia, who has been busy doing films down South is now shifting her focus back to the Bollywood scene.
“I have done many films down south, but I don’t regret it at all. I got good offers so I took them up and this year, I have quite a few Bollywood releases — Priyadarshan’s Mere Baap Pehle Aap with Akshaye Khanna, Om Puri, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav. I play a young, bubbly girl in the movie. Then there is Abbas Tyrewala’s Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na with Imran Khan, Aamir Khan’s nephew. I have also signed a film with Harman Baweja, which is a remake of my Telugu film Bommarillu.”
