Madalsa Sharma Eyeing Young Needs Bubbly Roles

Endowed with tender looks and a pleasing personality Mumbai girl Madalsa Sharma is upbeat for having been made her debut in Telugu through EVV Satyanarayana’s Fitting Master which has just been released for Sankranthi. What overwhelms her is the fact that she is starting her career from the South like the current Bollywood queens Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra.

“Having been born and brought up in an ambience surrounded by films, I always wanted to be in films.

But I didn’t know that I would be starting my career with a Telugu film,’’ she explains.

Madalsa’s father Subhash Sharma owns a production house which makes serials for regional channels in Mumbai, her mother Sheela Sharma did several Gujarathi films including a Bollywood flick `Nadiya Ke Par’ in Rajshri Productions and is currently a character artiste.

“I landed in Tollywood through a friend of my mother who works as a coordinator here,’’ she informs. She got her acting lessons from Kishore Namit Kapoor and dancing tips from Ganesh Acharya and Shiamak Dhawar, the pretty girl says her Telugu debut just happened.

She feels lucky to have debuted with EVV Satyanarayana’s film. ``We have really worked hard. I got to work on lavish and beautiful sets. Naresh is a spontaneous actor who helped me by explaining the dialogues,’’ she says.

She has a Tamil film Kadalakku Maranam Illiya which will go on floors after `Fitting Master’. Though she loves to do whatever the roles that come her way, Madalsa says she would prefer the meaty young and bubbly roles that suit her personality.

But she says a strict ‘no’ to skin show. “I am not ready for exposing. Your entire career gets spoiled as you will be trapped in the image,’’ she reasons. Currently doing her first year BA, Madalsa loves to while away her time listening to music, dancing and going for a drive on Mumbai streets.

Recalling a scene in the film she says: “ There is a scene in the film where I get to express my love. When I propose to Naresh, he asks me to convince my parents first. I tell him that my parents accepted it. Then one day when I come home he is seen sitting with my parents. I learn that he has already pitted my parents against me. It is an embarrassing situation.’’ Stating that the film has all the emotions packed proportionately, she hopes to make a mark with the film.
