'Dookudu' Producer Becomes Media Don?

The power of media needs no introduction. Perhaps one of the best examples is the electronic media. The way news channels have been shaking Andhra Pradesh in the name of Telangana chaos and subjecting the people to a lot of stress and tension goes to show its effect.

Now, the producer of ‘Dookudu’ is likely to enter into the media circuit. However, his focus is on entertainment. We are talking about Anil Sunkara who established the ATV channel. This was the first and unique channel for opportunities. Though the concept was good, it didn’t run that great due to various reasons.

Now, it is heard that Anil has decided to revamp the channel. Sources say as a producer, he came up with ‘Bindaas’ which got above average returns. Then, he came with ‘Aha Naa Pellanta’ which got money and good profits. And now, he came with ‘Dookudu’ and everyone knows the result. So now, the buzz is that Anil is planning to change ATV into an entertainment channel and that too in a big way.

Sakuni based on Nira Radia & 2G scam

Karthi’s Saguni is being dubbed as Sakuni in Telugu version and both the versions will see a simultaneous release. Sources are abuzz that Karthi’s role in his forthcoming film Sakuni is based on Nira Radia, a corporate lobbyist who played a key role in 2G spectrum scam. The makers have informed that Sakuni is a political thriller and Karthi’s stills in political attire have already been unveiled.

The buzz is that the film will throw light on current political problems but in a non preachy way. Karthi’s role would be the highlight of the movie that reminds you of lobbyists. Touted as a mass masala entertainer with political backdrop, Sakuni is taking shape in the hands of a debutant director Shankar Dayal. Praneetha is playing the female lead while Radhika Sarathkumar will be seen in a powerful role.View

Mahesh joins SVSC unit from January

Mahesh Babu has informed that he will commence his part of shoot for Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu from January 2012. SVSC is a muti-starrer flick with Venkatesh and Mahesh in the leads, to be directed by Srikanth Addala and produced by Dil Raju.

Speaking about the film, he informed that he accepted Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu as it has a good script that will appeal all genres of audiences and not just because it is a multi-starrer film. He also informed that he shares a good rapport with Venkatesh and he is happy to be part of the film. Sources are at buzz that Trisha and Samantha would play the leading lady roles in Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.

As of now, the Super Star is currently busy with Puri Jagannadh’s directorial The Businessman that is slated for a release on 11^th January 2012.

Gopichand, Tapsee’s Mogudu in November

Gopichand, Tapsee starrer Mogudu which was earlier slated for release in October will now see its light of the day on 4^th November. Mogudu also casts Dr.Rajendra Prasad, Shradda Das and Roja in prominent roles. Tapsee is hoping for a hit with Mogudu and the actress has even dubbed for her role in the film.

Mogudu is a family entertainer, which is being helmed by creative director Krishna Vamsi. The film also shows the traditional values and culture of Indian marriage Nallamalupu Bujji is producing the film on the banner of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions, Babu Shankar is debuting as music director with this film.

Mogudu audio will be unveiled on 11^th October and the first look trailer has been unveiled today [10^th October]

Prabhas fights for Rebel

Young Rebel Star Prabhas starrer Rebel is currently being shot in Hyderabad. Few action scenes are being canned in the present schedule of the film. Rebel touted as mass action entertainer is being directed by Raghava Lawrence.

Lawrence informs that Rebel is quite contrasting to Prabhas earlier couple of films ‘Darling’ and ‘Mr Perfect’. Two hot actresses Tamannah and Deeksha Seth are roped in to sizzle alongside Prabhas in the film. J Bhagawan and J Pulla Rao are the producers of Rebel which is being made on the banner of Sri Balaji cine Media.

Cinematography is by C Ram Prasad and music is by SS Thaman. The film-makers are planning to release Rebel in December.

Autonagar Surya begins shoot!

Young heartthrob Naga Chaitanya has started off the shoot of his next film Autonagar Surya to be directed by talented director Deva Katta.

The entire shoot of Autonagar Surya will be wrapped up in a single schedule. Samantha is zeroed in as the leading lady in the film. The duo will romance again for the second time in the film after Ye Maya Chesave. The film has a backdrop of Vijayawada and the story deals with the labour unions.

K.Atchi Reddy is producing the movie on the banner of Max India Productions and RR Movie Makers is presenting it. Anup Rubens is scoring the tunes and ANS comprises of 6 songs in total. Other supporting casts of the film includes Sai Kumar, Brahmanandam, M.S.Narayana, Ragu Babu, Ajay, Venu Madhav, Jayaprakash Reddy, Master Bharath et al.

Venkatesh voiceover in Rajamouli’s Eega

Rajamouli’s experimental film Eega is progressing at a rapid pace in Hyderabad. The film is expected to be ready for 2012 summer release. Though the shoot has started off much earlier, Eega is delayed due to the loads of visual effects in the film. Rajamouli is taking additional care on the every aspect especially on the splendid graphics work.

The latest we hear is Victory Venkatesh is said to be giving voiceover for the film. The basic plot revolves around the graphically created Housefly and its revenge on the baddie in rebirth. Nani, Samantha and Sudeep are essaying the lead roles in the film. The filmmakers are in hopes that Venky’s voiceover will add star attraction for Eega.

Eega being presented by Suresh Babu will see a multilingual release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada.

Mani Sharma’s son to debut as hero

Music Director Mani Sharma is soon introducing his Sagar to Tollywod, not as a music director but as a hero. Hemanth Madhukar will wield the megaphone for the film. He has earlier directed Manchu Vishnu’s Vasthadu Naa Raju. Mani Sharma is scoring the tunes for his son’s debut venture.

The movie is touted as a musical love entertainer. The script work has been done and currently, the songs are being recorded at Mani Sharma's Mahati recording theater in Hyderabad. The makers are planning to rope in a new lady for the female lead role to sizzle opposite Sagar in the film. The formal announcement of the film is expected shortly.

Suriya turns Prince with 7th Sense

Ever since the First Look pictures, trailer and the audio of Suriya’s 7^th Sense were unveiled, the expectations on the film reached sky-high. Now, here is another interesting update of the film.

Apart from the Buddhist monk and circus artiste roles in the film, Suriya is essaying the role of a Prince. Suriya’s Bodhidharma character is said to be originally a Prince role who was third son to the Pallava King in the dynasty. Pallavas ruled India in the sixth century. This Prince character will later be transformed as Buddhist monk, who leaves to china.

“Though Bodhidharma is a real life character, director Murugadoss added fiction to the role and shot the film. Being born as a Tamilian, he is worshipped in major parts of China also having his statue in the Shaolin temple,” informs sources.

7^th Sense switches between ancient and modern era as the story progresses. Suriya’s ladylove in the movie Shruti Haasan is essaying a scientist role. Abhinaya of 'Nadodigal' fame has also paired alongside Suriya for another avatar.

7th Sense is gearing up for its release worldwide on 26^th October on the eve of Diwali.

Ravi Teja & Brahmanandam to rock in Nippu

Ravi Teja starrer Nippu in the direction of Gunasekhar is progressing at a rapid pace in Hyderabad. Recently, a schedule has been wrapped up in Pollachi. YVS Chowdary is producing the film on Bommarillu Vari banner.

YVS has informed recently that Gunasekhar is crafting the film with a right mix of action and entertainment. Though it has high voltage action, the second half of the film is being packed with uproarious comedy track between Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam, which will be one of the highlights of the film. The duo combo has earlier rocked in films like Kick, Anjaneyulu et al.

Ravi Teja, Gunasekhar and YVS have pinned huge hopes on this film as they are currently undergoing a rough phase. Thaman is composing the music for the film.

Krish, Rana's Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum

Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi aka Krish who has earned recognition as critical-acclaimed director has now switched on to action genre film. His forthcoming film with Rana Daggubati titled Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum is said to be an action entertainer.

The script discussions are under progress and the entire details of Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum cast and crew will be announced shortly. Jagarlamudi Saibabu is producing the film under the banner of First Frame Entertainments. He has earlier produced Krish debut directorial Gamyam on the same banner.

In the meantime, Rana will wrap up his two undershoot flicks Naa Ishtam in Prakash Tholeti direction with Genelia as his ladylove and a Hindi film Department in Ram Gopal Varma direction.

Oosaravelli First Day collections

Young Tiger Jr. NTR  starrer Oosaravelli has released worldwide yesterday in record number of theaters and as expected the film has smashing Box-Office collections on Day 1. Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Panjaa First Look posters have garnered huge response among the audiences and raised the expectations to peak levels. Now, we have another interesting update of Panjaa.

It is evident that two hot models Sarah Jane Dias and Anjali Lavania are playing the leading ladies alongside Pawan Kalyan, who will be seen as a Mafia don. Anjali Lavania is said to be a belly dancer and a song will be shot on this hot actress with few scintillating belly dance sequences in the choreography of Geeta Kapur of Sheila Ki Jawani fame. The number will be canned from 10^th October in Hyderabad. Prabhas, Koratala Siva film details

Prabhas has accepted a new film introducing dialogue writer Koratala Siva as director. Koratala Siva shot to fame with films Brindavanam, Munna, Bhadra and he also contributed for latest outing Oosaravelli.

After the success of Darling, Mr.Perfect, Prabhas is doing a high voltage mass entertainer Rebel in the direction of Lawrence. Next to this, the Young Rebel Star will join the shoot of his new film. Prabhas, Koratal Siva combo will be produced by V. Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under UV creations banner.  Devi Sri Prasad will compose the music for the film.

Pawan Kalyan Panja First Look Posters

Samantha in Mahesh, Venky’s SVSC

After the blockbuster hit Dookudu, Mahesh Babu will yet again romance the gorgeous beauty Samantha in the biggest multistarrer of present era Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Yes, if sources are to be believed Samantha is being considered for the female lead role alongside Mahesh in the film.

Though Mahesh and Samantha made a good pair, the duo did not have ample scenes in the film, which disappointed Samantha’s fans. However, the pair will romance yet again in SVSC now. Touted as a family entertainer, Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu shows Venkatesh and Mahesh as brothers and Prakash Raj in the father role.

Srikantha Addala is directing the film and Dil Raju is producing it on Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. SVSC is launched formally on the auspicious day of Dussera amidst several Tollywood bigwigs.

Nagarjuna’s Shiridi Sai status

It is evident that Nagarjuna is essaying the role of Shiridi Sai Baba in his next film tentatively titled as Shiridi Sai. Currently, the makers are busy with the music sittings of the film. M.M Keeravani is the music director.

Keeravani has already composed 4 songs out of 9 in the film and once he wraps up the rest, the makers will begin rolling the camera for the film. K. Raghavendra Rao is wielding the megaphone for this devotional flick Shiridi Sai while A Mahesh Reddy of AMR Real Estate Group is producing it. Story is by Bhaktha Suresh Kumar, dialogues are by Paruchuri Brothers, cinematography is by S Gopal Reddy while lyrics are by Veda Vyas.

It is worth mentioning that Nagarjuna has succeeded in this genre already with a couple of films Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu.

Gopichand, Tapsee’s Mogudu gets release date

Gopichand’s next film Mogudu in the direction of Krishna Vamsi has got its release date. The latest reports reveal that the filmmakers are releasing the movie on 21^st October. Mogudu might lock horns with Suriya’s 7^th Sense and Venkatesh starrer Ganga- The Bodyguard that are hitting the screens for Diwali.

Unlike Gopichand’s earlier films, Mogudu is touted as a family entertainer. Tapsee and Shradda Das are pairing up with Gopichand in the film. Tapsee is said to have got a performance oriented role and the actress is quite happy with her role.

Nallamalupu Bujji is producing Mogudu under the banner of Lakshmi Narasimha Productions. Krishna Vamsi is introducing a new music director Babu Shankar to Tollywood with this film. Mogudu also casts Dr.Rajendra Prasad, Naresh and Roja in other prominent roles.
