Vishnu for highest number of prints

A phenomenon that is striking about today's cinema business in Tollywood is that producers are willing to take out as much prints as possible and release their films in maximum number of theatres. If Mohan Babu's Saleem released with around 290 prints, Adurs was to release in as much as 900 theatres around the world on December 25.

The idea, of course, is to get the maximum openings, before pirated CDs cater to cinegoers. Manchu Vishnu Babu hails this business-minded phenomenon. "In the present circumstances, releasing a film with maximum prints is wise. It is because we came out with high number of prints, that Saleem was able to collect Rs. 2.4 cr. in the first three days." Vishnu's latest
film released in Maharashtra and Delhi too.

Saying that audience are thronging to theatres in Andhra and Ceded areas as the bandhs have been called off there, he said that the heavy expenditure was visible to whoever watched the film.Meanwhile, industry sources reveal that his next film will go on floors in the month of February.

Saleem' completes Censor procedures

Vishnu-Illeana starrer Saleem has passed the Censor test. The YVS Chowdhary film is all set to release on December 11. Produced by Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and Big Films, it has Mohan Babu playing an interesting role - with negative shades!Sandeep Chowtha's tunes are yet to catch up among the listeners.

Reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 21 cr., the film is releasing with 295 prints. Also, sources confirm that the producers are planning to release the film in a big way, and in this direction, they have made an effort to release the film in national capital New Delhi and the state of Maharashtra too. If in Maharashtra, the film will release in 38 theatres, in the Capital, it will hit in 5 theatres, on December 11. By far, the number was never touched by any other Telugu film in the past (in the non-AP domestic market).

Vishnu's ‘Saleem’ coming with 295 prints

Vishnuvardhan and Ileana starrer ‘Saleem’ has completed its Censor.The censor board has given U/A to this film. YVS Chowdary is directing the film. Mohan Babu is producing the film under Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and Big Films is jointly producing the film.

The producers are said to be quite happy with the final output of the film. ‘Saleem’ will hit the screens across the world on December 11th with 295 prints. The prints also include 102 digital prints. The film has been made with a budget of Rs.23 crores.

Mohan Babu is doing a negative role in the film and Kaveri Jha will also be seen in the film. Sandeep Chowta has composed the music for the film. Cinematography by C. Ramprasad, lyrics by Chandrabose, art by Anand Sai, action by Vijay and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
