Jr NTR,yet another target

On Saturday, slogans were raised by some members who identified themselves as belonging to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi against actor Junior NTR, who was shooting at a college in the Old City. Though there was no destruction to property, angry slogans were raised against the actor.

NTR is viewed as belonging to the TDP camp. Moreover, as he is the son of Hari Krishna, who openly declared that the TD is committed to United Andhra, T-supporters have targeted his film 'Adhurs' and successfully stopped it from releasing on the eve of Christmas.

The actor was shooting for a fight sequence at a women's college for his film Brindavanam, along with director Vamsi Paidipalli. Producer Dil Raju, actor Supreeth were also present there.
There was no loss to the makes in terms of destruction of property, because they had police bandobast well in advance.

Around two dozen protestors went away after making pro-Telangana and anti-NTR slogans.
Except for a brief period when the shooting had to be cancelled, it resumed later.

Is Adhurs coming only in Jan 5?

After 'Arya2' and 'Magadheera' have started facing the music from Telangana agitators, the producers of Adhurs are learnt to be thinking twice about the release of the film on the scheduled date of December 25.When emotions are running high in the region, Hari Krishna's statement that TDP is committed to Samaikya Andhra two days ago has triggered a wave a protests against Adhurs. Though there are no demonstrations as yet against the release of the film in Telangana, there is a grouse against its screening from some sections like students.

The situation is grim for the film, as there is a possibility that theatre owners might voluntarily refuse to screen it, which means losing of a big money, if the agitations are severe in the first week. With tempers running high, gossip mills are saying that the producers are thinking of releasing it only in January (probably, on the 5th).

Jr NTR's next in Jan 2010

After they teamed up with director Meher Ramesh for 'Kanthri' two years ago, Ashwini Dutt of Vijayanthi Movies and Junior NTR are all set to work again for a film titled 'Khiladi'. 'Kanthri' was a commercial success and was liked by the mass audience. The film is all set to be launched in the month of January.

This time, it is Illeana who is pairing up with the Junior. NTR, Dutt and Meher are eager to better their Kanthri success. Seems that they have consciously elected another mischievous title for the same reason. It is to be seen if Khiladi becomes popular with the audience, as the title has been released much before even the shooting has begun.

Details of the story and NTR' character are not yet out. All the sources are saying is that Ashwini Dutt liked the movie immensely and gave a green signal for the project.
It will be produced by Three Angels, the sister production house of Vijayanthi Movies. 'Baanam' and now 'Om Shanthi' are in the kitty of Three Angels, managed by Dutt's daughter Seshu Priyanka Chalasani.
