Apparently, an impersonator has been using this e-mail id for the past few days. This has obviously inconvenienced Katrina no end. Our source said, “Looks like this impersonator is obsessed with Katrina but little does he/she realise that it is absolutely unethical to send out e-mails posing as someone else.
Katrina is quite hassled.” Katrina discovered this impersonation only last week when a media person brought it to her notice. Our source revealed, “Last week, a lady journalist called Katrina and told her that she had received an e-mail from her. Katrina was shocked because she had not sent an e-mail to that journalist. That’s when Katrina realised that somebody was impersonating her and fooling people. We don’t know how many mails this impersonator may have sent.”

Soha played Kabaddi in real life

Soha Ali Khan will be seen in a light hearted film Dil Kabaddi . She will be seen playing Kabaddi in the film as well.

Soha has also actually played Kabaddi in real life. “Yes, I used to play Kabaddi when I was young. I was in Delhi at that time. I have not played Kabaddi since I have come to Mumbai. But I am playing a lot of Kabaddi in the film,” she laughingly said.

Kate Moss loses 3,000-pound gift

Within three hours of receiving a ring worth 3,000 pounds from her rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince, British supermodel Kate Moss “misplaced” it, reports mirror.co.uk.

“Jamie had it specially made for her. It was a native American ring designed to symbolise Kate's happy future and Jamie's role in it,” said a source close to the couple.

The source added: “It was solid silver with a gorgeous blue stone and was supposed to have all sorts of protective powers. But Kate forgot to put it back in its box and the piece went walkabout.”

Former Friends star Courteney Cox insists she's "lucky" to have her co-star Jennifer Aniston as her best friend.

Fortyfour-year-old Cox said Aniston insists the pair's bond has deepened over the years, reports contactmusic.com.

"We've known each other for nearly 15 years now, we grew up together emotionally (when) I lost my father, Jen got divorced, and I had a baby. We've been through huge life changes together,” Cox said.

Soon after returning from the shooting of Rensil D’Silva’s untitled film in Philadelphia Saif Ali Khan was admitted at Lilavati hospital after the complain of abdominal pain during a Christmas party. It is told that he is suffering from some sort of intestinal infection but would get very soon. He was admitted to the same hospital last year after he complained about chest pains. ‘Being an Ash lookalike has helped me’ - Sneha Ullal

Her uncanny resemblance to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has made more news than her films. A Salman Khan discovery, Sneha Ullal, who debuted at 17 in Lucky: No Time For Love a couple of years ago, didn’t seem to have luck on her side in B-town. Now, two years later, Sneha is considered hot property in the south, especially in the Telugu industry. With two consecutive hits in Ullasanga Utsahanga and Nene Meeku Telusa, Sneha’s scored some plum projects in Tollywood. She’s just made a special appearance in a song for Nagarjuna’s King and is also playing his leading lady in Current.

So, did Sneha move down south because she isn’t doing well in Bollywood? “It’s just that I was too young to display any talent when I debuted. I was 17 then, and didn’t want to work too hard. So, I groomed myself for two years and then decided to do south films. I was getting some very good roles from the south and decided to exploit opportunities here. Besides being a good training ground, the southern industry is also more professional when compared to Bollywood,” she explains.

So, did she make a mistake when she debuted so young? “In Lucky…, I played a school kid and I also didn’t learn anything from that film. I looked kiddish and was also confused at that phase. So, I took a break to look more mature and improve my acting skills. I’ve lost two years now and don’t want to lose more time,” admits Sneha. But being a Salman Khan find, and having done Aryan with Sohail Khan, why didn’t she cash in on her rapport with the Khan khandaan? “Salman’s always there for me and I’m still in touch with him. But now, I want to make it on my own — without anyone’s backing,” asserts the Mangalorean girl.

What about her reputation as an Ash lookalike — did it help her career? “It was much talked about, so it must’ve somewhere! Yeah, it definitely gave me the fame needed for a newbie, but I don’t want to rely on that anymore. In fact, when I met Ash at an awards function, I apologised for all the lookalike hype around me. She said it’s all media created and advised me to get used to it,” says the actress.

While Sneha promises to stick around in the south, she’s also looking at a re-entry in Bollywood. “In B-town, if you’re in, you’re in. If you quit, you’re out. I’m getting a second chance to make a comeback and want to play it right henceforth. I have a couple of films lined up, so I’m looking forward to them,” she says.

As for the various camps and joining the bikini brigade, Sneha has some strong views. “I don’t think sleeping around can get you work. I only believe in choosing the right script. And while I won’t wear a churidar and be the quiet type, I also won’t resort to skin show. Also, no size zero for me. Heroines need to flaunt their curves — that’s how you make a guy look like s*&t!” she signs off.

Mental Krishna
Maverick writer-director Posani Krishna Murali is coming out with the film titled Mental Krishna after his Operation Duryodhana. The film has Posani Krishna Murali and Sathya Krishnana in the lead roles. The film is said to have got into trouble with the censor board because of several objectionable scenes and dialogues. After reshoots, the film is approved by the Censors for release. Posani plays a sadist and the film is reported to be a satire on the present social system.

Mental Krishna is a Social Horror.

The film titled Shubham with the tag line The Good Beginning stars Vikas and Sangeetha Kapoor in the lead roles. Nagababu plays a pivotal role in this film.

Shubham is being produced by CR Mohan under the banner of Mohana Shruthi Creations and directed by Sivaprasada Reddy G. The dialogues have been written by Ravi Kolikapudi and the lyrics by Bhaskarabhatla.
Shubham touted as a youthful family entertainer is scheduled for release on Sankranthi Day. This film will clash with MS Raju’s Siddharth starrer Koncham Ishtam Koncham Kashtam.

Queen watches 'King' in burkha

Starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Trisha in the lead cast, ‘King’ directed by Sreenu Vaitla is now running in theatres successfully. It has been produced by D. Siva Prasad Reddy on Kamakshi Kalaa Movies banner. The movie had a bumper opening which became a super hit in the first week of its screening itself.

Released on 25th December during Christmas, the movie is flooded with good reviews all over AP and also in neighboring states. Nag’s three roles, rib tickling comedy by Brahmanandam and others and the grand song featuring eight heroines are some of the highlights of the movie which was launched with 300 prints, the highest for a Nag movie.

In an attempt to savor the excitement accompanied by the audience, heroine of ‘King’, Trisha, watched 'King' at a theater in Chennai, wearing a Burkha. She was safely concealed inside the attire and seated herself amongst the audience to enjoy their response at close quarters.

'Dhrona' audio launch on 1st Jan

‘Dhrona’ featuring Nithin and Priyamani as the hero and heroine has been directed by debutant J. Karuna Kumar. Producer DS Rao is making this movie on Sai Krishna Productions banner. Production work for the movie has been completed with the shooting schedules done.

The story of a strict police father and his negligent son forms the plot of ‘Drona’. The situation that arises after he commits a crime carries the script forward filled with action, love and comedy.

Right now, post-production work is in progress. The film is getting ready for a Sankranthi release.

The audio of the movie is going to be released on 1st of January 2009.

Rights of female artistes

Neetu Chandra recently relayed a statement that she was harassed by Dr. Rajasekhar and his wife Jeevitha. Her allegation made a soar in the industry and numerous questions were putforth regarding the rights of artistes in tollywood.

MAA, Andhra Pradesh Movie Artistes Association has a regulated threefold system of solving such issues. The coordinate committee usually handles the petty problems between artistes and producers. It gets promoted to the Film Chamber of Commerce if the disputants are directors and senior stars.

Murali Mohan, president of MAA says that an actress should either approach the council for her rights or the police. She shouldn’t file a case before we sought it out. On the contrary, an advocate of high court, P. Subhash advices women to register a complaint in the IPC section if she was harassed, molested or degraded by any means.

Even though such laws prevail most female artistes hesitate to seek the government’s help as that would spoil their career and will put an end to their survival in the industry. So, many of them tend to stay apart and sort out the issue by other means or through the council. Overall, the verdict on Neetu Chandra’s issue is yet to be out for now.

AVM's production with Shekhar Kammula begins 7th Jan

Director Shekhar Kammula baked in the glory of ‘Happy Days’ for almost a year. He then made preparations to remake the movie in Hindi casting a group of young stars once again. His success history in Telugu cinema with the series of small budget hits like ‘Dollar Dreams’, ‘Anand’ and ‘Godavari’ paved his way into Bollywood.

Yet, the movie didn’t go to the floors in time as planned. Meanwhile, he is now going to direct a movie which will be produced by the renowned AVM’s production company. Grandson of D. Rama Naidu and Son of D. Suresh Babu, Rana is being debuted into Tollywood as a hero by Shekhar Kammula. The film’s official launch will be done on 7th January next year.

Holding a record of making new faces as superstars, Shekhar Kammula’s golden touch on Rana could be found out only when the movie comes out. His association with the popular production house AVM along with Rana might bring out a hit movie. We have to wait and watch how he’s going to churn out this new flick.

Kothabangaru Lokam heroine Swetha Basu Prasad and producer A Kodandarami Reddy son Vaibhav are coming together to act in a film as hero and heroine. In these days of heroine’s being utilized only for glamour roles, a disparate actress Tamanna retorts, “I am not a glam prop in my movies.”

Budding actress Tamanna debuted to Telugu cinema in ‘Sri’ paired up with Manoj. A bad start as the movie turned out to be a disaster at the box office. New Year with Ramba's 'Nachore-Nachore'

MAA TV organizes and presents a special event every year to welcome the New Year and this time it's no different as they have arranged a huge function to celebrate the occasion.

The grand stage show named 'Nachore – Nachore' will be presented by MAA TV along with Rasamayee, and will be graced by movie star Ramba. The actress has been signed up to dance in the show which will be held on 1st January at Gabil Park Grounds, Dubai.

Choreographer PremRakshit directs this special dance show, which will be presented by Ramba, Sindhu Menon and UdaiBhanu. Ali, Srinivas Reddy and 'Satyam' Rajesh are entrusted with the humor part to entertain the audience with their comedy skits. Director and actor R. Narayana Murthy will be the chief guest.

Gorati Venkanna, Mano, Geetha Madhuri, will sing hit numbers for the audience during this show. The show will be held in the evening of 1st January, 2009.

We will release 'Maska' on our own – MS Raju

‘Maska’ is a high budget movie produced by MS Raju on Sumanth Art Productions banner, featuring Ram, Hansika and Sheela in the main cast. Director B. Gopal has made this movie on the renowned production banner. The company holds credit for hits like 'Sathruvu', 'Devi', 'Okkadu' and 'Varsham'. The director has also earlier rendered the super hit films 'Samarasimha Reddy', 'Narasimha Naidu', 'Indra' and 'Bobbili Raja'.

The recently launched audio of ‘Maska’ is a chartbuster hit which has become one more reason to anticipate the movie. With a number of pluses added to it, distributors are competing with one another with glossy lucre to buy the movie’s distribution rights.

But, producer MS Raju’s decision to release the movie himself throughout the state of AP has come as surprising news to everyone. ‘Among them, it was my close friend and producer D. Suresh Babu who wanted me to do it. He was quite impressed with ‘Maska’ and his suggestion for me to release ‘Manasantha Nuvve’ turned fruitful earlier. Because of him, I raked in huge profits due to the movie’s grand success. I am confident ‘Maska’ will be one more super duper hit on our production banner,’ says MS Raju.

‘The music is already receiving rave reviews which has given me double the hope. So, keeping all these things in mind, we are going to release ‘Maska’ on our own in AP. It will be Sankranti Gift for 2009, from Sumanth Arts’.

Parvathy Omanakuttan crowns Miss South India

Hailing from God’s own country, Kerala, Parvathy Omana Kuttan won the Femina Miss India contest held on April, 2008. She carried forward the legacy of beauty queens from India like Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan (1994), Priyanka Chopra (2000), Diana Hayden (1997) and Yukta Mookhey (1999) by being the 1st runner-up of Miss World 2008.

Recently, she graced the occasion of Femina Miss South India, 2009 and crowned the finalists among the contenders. The function was organized at HITEX International Conventions Centre, Hyderabad, on 28th December. During the time, she also spent a few minutes talking to the media.

K Films is making a new movie starring Vaibhav and Shwetha Prasad in the lead cast. Director of ‘Seema Sastry’, G. Nageswar Reddy is directing this movie produced by Smt. A. Bharathi. Vaibhav is the son of well known director A. Kondandarami Reddy who debuted as a hero with ‘Godava’. He got a wider recognition after ‘Saroja’, a bilingual movie made in Telugu and Tamil.

Swetha Basu Prasad is the bubbly actress from the latest hit ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’ who plays the heroine.

At present, the shooting is being done at different locations in Hyderabad. Scenes without the heroine are being canned now and Shwetha will be in the sets from 2nd January. Vaibhav and Brahmanandam are busy doing comedy scenes presently. Stunt master Selva is directing few stunts which are also being filmed. The unit will be in the same locale to finish off the talkie part of the movie.

The other important cast includes Saleem Panda, Jaiprakash Reddy, Tarzan, Azad, Sravani. A new girl will be introduced as another heroine in this film.

A new video featuring the actress changing clothes in her caravan is now being circulated on the net. Example Of Nag's Love For Chiru

Relationships are quite rare when it comes to the film industry but then there are those few good men who really value friendship and stand as perfect examples for many. One such duo that has often taken the first spot is megastar Chiranjeevi and yuvasamrat Nagarjuna. Such is said to be their intimacy that they would not first think of each other during any crisis so when the episode of Srija's marriage happened, Chiru called up Nag on his personal mobile while the star was at shooting. Usually, they don't call each other during work only if it is emergency so when Chiru called, Nag's assistant picked it up and informed that Nag was busy so not able to talk now. Later after about fifteen minutes when he informed Nag, he is said to have got some real good firings from Nag and within minutes, Nag called for pack-up and informed the director that he had to attend to a personal commitment. Ironically, today Nag is canvassing for Congress party while Chiru is busy with his Praja Rajyam Party. One hopes that their friendship still remains intact.

Pawan Kalyan behind bars

In the Nampally area in Hyderabad, Pawan Kalyan was arrested on the charge for creating a blockade. The popular actor and member of Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party, is also the president of the youth wing Yuva Rajyam.

The state government of AP in a measure to eradicate the rising slum areas in Bheemrao Vada, near Nampally, organized a team to dislodge the dwellers. In order to bring the decision to vogue, the slums were disbursed forcibly by the government officials today.

Protesting against the dislodgement, Pawan Kalyan accompanied by a group of young members from PRP reached the spot to support the people of Bheemrao Vada.

He stated that this government says they are for the poor but actually works against the poor. We will not rest until we replace it with effective governance. He then consoled the local people and extended his support to them.

Pawan Kalyan was arrested by the Nampally police for making a blockade during their dislodgement.

Katrina Kaif isn’t too hurt

Katrina Kaif is very accident prone. A month ago, Ranbir Kapoor missed his cue and slapped her so hard on the sets of ’Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani’ that her face got swollen badly and shooting had to be cancelled. Last week, she got her leg rather badly injured while shooting for ’De Dhana Dhan’.

According to cast members at Film City here, Katrina was doing an underwater sequence with Akshay Kumar when her foot got tangled under water.

"The more she tried to extricate herself the more her leg got tangled. She tried to scream for help, but because of the noise on the sets including the
stunt co-ordinators who were shouting instructions to the entire cast, no one heard Katrina’s screams of pain," a unit member told us.

Finally, Akshay bailed her out. "Akshay saw that Katrina was in trouble. He quickly swam to her and got her out of the tangle," said the unit memeber.

Katrina’s leg was badly hurt. "It could’ve been worse," said the source, "but tetanus shots and sedatives have eased her pain."

When contacted, Katrina tried to downplay the incident saying: "It was nothing. I hurt my leg. There was a cut that hasn’t healed as yet. So I’m in pain." [source:IANS]

Deepika Padukone pairs with Akshay Kumar again

Deepika Padukone has been signed by Sajid Nadiadwala to play the lead role opposite Akshay Kumar for his next film Houseful to be directed by Sajid Khan. The film will have Riteish Deshmukh, another hero and two more heroines. It is a romantic comedy.

This will be Deepika’s first full-fledged comedy film. After working with Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om she will be now do Farah’s brother Sajid’s directorial venture.

Producer Nadiadwala is completing his Kambakkht Ishq, while Deepika and Akshay have been busy with the post production work of Chandini Chowk to China.

Saif Ali Khan hospitalised

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was Thursday admitted to the Lilavati hospital here after he complained of pain in his abdomen, hospital sources said.

"He is suffering from an intestine infection. The doctors are still conducting the tests. He will have to remain in the hospital for a few days," a hospital source told us.

In 2006, Saif underwent surgery in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur. He had complained of pain in the abdomen then too and the doctors had diagnosed he was suffering from appendicitis. [source: IANS]

Jr. NTR to pair up with Nayantara

Nayantara has a special place in Tollywood and a huge fan base. But obviously she has attracted more fans after Dubai Seenu and Salute released. Slowly, this “numero uno” actress of Tamil Nadu is gaining a stronghold on Tollywood. Of late, many producers and heroes are keen on including her in their films.

Realizing her potential and wanting to capitalize on her rising stardom, V.V. Vinayak decided to cast her opposite Junior NTR in his forthcoming film, which will have one more heroine. But there is one more reason for Nayantara becoming the main heroine of this film; V.V. Vinayak’s first choice Ileana could not provide dates, so he settled for Nayantara who seems to be the new rage of Andhra Pradesh.

This might be disappointing news to fans of Ileana D’Cruz who enjoyed her role as Jr. NTR’s close friend in Rakhi. But V.V. Vinayak has little choice with Ileana being busy with two films (one opposite Nitin and another with Ram).

Nayantara, who rocked in Dubai Seenu and Salute, knows that this is a great opportunity for her and would definitely want to make the best use of it. Now, that means the fans are in for a big treat

Nagarjuna’s latest release King was released on 25th December to tremendous openings. Though the movie opened to big openings, the reviews on first day said that the movie was lenghty. So the makers of King decided to trim the movie by 10min.

D Siva Prasad who is the producer of King, director Sreenu Vytla and Nagarjuna decided to trim the movie by 10 min inorder to reduce the lenght of movie play time. The trimmed or edited movie will be played in all the screens from today.

King has Trisha in the lead role, Mamtha Mohan Das in negative role and many comedians and villans to support hero Nagarjuna. Priyamani, Anushka, Charmee, Genelia, Sneha Ullal and Kamna Jatmalani appear in a song and sizzle the audience.
